I had looked on Tripadvisor for a place to take a retired friend for afternoon tea as a treat, upon looking on tripadvisor I decided to check the internet and came across Merchants Manor which is in Falmouth Cornwall.
Well on arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who showed us into different rooms where we could sit, once we had chosen a room the waiter came in and was extremely friendly and helpful. I explained we would like afternoon tea for two. Well.....what can I say......we were treated like royalty, the finger sandwiches,cake, scones, clotted cream, jam, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries,etc was absolutely scrumptious and so so cheap too!.....also at no time were we rushed, the atmosphere was so relaxing with music playing in the background.
The aim was to treat my friend to a special afternoon and that's what was achieved!
